NOONSTONE;  © 1999; Collection of Artist.  This sculpture is a simple kind of “day” clock.  At noon the angle of the sun is such that it shines on the sculpture and the boulder begins to rise and fall on about a fifteen-minute cycle, stopping as the sun sets.  The cycle begins again the next day.  The sculpture was created for an exhibit with Environmental Arts, a Boston base artist group, at the Fuller Museum of Art, Brockton, MA

solar cells, motor, steel, natural boulder; 12 ft high, 4 ft wide, 4 ft deep.
